KND HAS IMPLEMENTED BEST PRACTICES IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PROJECTS

Throughout our history, DLBA has implemented best practices in project management for our own internal design programs, and externally to our customers in support of their projects. Today, our management team subscribes to the guidelines recommended in the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

OUR PROCESS

UNDERSTANDING THE CLIENTS NEEDS

We begin our design process by understanding our client’s needs first. Through the voice of the customer it is critical to understand the aesthetic style and functional objectives of any item to be created, whether it’s a fender hanger or a 50m yacht. Our talented design team takes inspiration from the appropriate source for the given project. We start with hand sketches to explore the design direction and opportunities. Once the concept meets the customers vision, our designers employ the latest tools and techniques in parametric modeling and graphic arts software to develop fully integrated products. Spatial planning, form, and proportions can be determined quickly and efficiently.
3-D computer models are created in the next phase of the development effort. DLBA combines the use of VR (Virtual Reality), advanced rendering programs, and 3-D printing to ensure our
customers visualize the designs during the development process. This approach improves customer satisfaction by reducing the risk of design changes emerging later in the project.
The 3-D models DLBA develops are tailored to suit the level of detail and fidelity required for the project. Our team possesses the creativity and skills to develop detailed surface models for the composite tooling industry. Our understanding of technical requirements, ergonomics, and fabrication techniques allows us to provide user-friendly and cost-effective tool designs.
Our broad experience across multiple markets, products, and disciplines enables DLBA to develop your vision into a successful project.
