The Hurricane 21 is a 21.44-meter patrol and intercept vessel constructed with an aluminium planing hull and an aluminium wheelhouse, which can be optionally outfitted with ballistic protection. Classified by Bureau Veritas, the vessel has a 6.11-meter beam and a 0.90-meter draft, with a maximum full-load displacement of 35.60 tons. Its propulsion system is powered by 1,800 bhp from Volvo Penta, Boudouin, or MTU engines, utilizing either Alamarin jet drives or an IPS system to achieve a maximum speed range of 32 to 55 knots.

Operating at a cruising speed of 22 knots, the craft has a range of 594 nautical miles supported by a 5,000-liter fuel capacity. The vessel is designed to accommodate a complement of 14 people and features internal capacities for 400 liters of fresh water and 250 liters of waste water. Onboard electrical and environmental systems include a 230 VAC and 24 VDC power supply, a 16 KVA genset, and full air conditioning. Its navigation and communication suite includes Furuno equipment such as NavNet and DRS4DL, along with AIS and VHF/HF radios. Available optional extras for the Hurricane 21 include a Remote Weapon Station (RWS) machine gun, ICAF anti-fouling, and extended communication systems.
