P188 | NAVIGATOR 7.2

The Navigator 7.2 is a specialized model within the Navigator Range of Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) engineered by KND Naval Design to support demanding commercial, law enforcement, and military operations, such as coast guard patrolling and boarding missions. Built with a robust glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) planing hull and an open console superstructure, this highly maneuverable tactical boat has a length overall (LOA) of 7.2 meters, a beam overall (BOA) of 2.77 meters, and a shallow draft of 0.34 meters. It features a maximum full-load displacement of 2.4 tons and is certified under CE and Bureau Veritas (BV) classification standards. Configured for single-day missions, it carries a complement of up to 4 passengers with an endurance basis of 1 day at sea.

The vessel relies on a highly efficient single-engine jet drive configuration optimized for shallow-water operations and close-quarters tactical maneuvering. Driven by a single 250-horsepower engine, the boat achieves an impressive maximum speed of 45.2 knots and a cruising speed of 36.5 knots. When operating at cruise speed, the propulsion system maintains a fuel burn rate of 35.8 liters per hour, yielding an operational range of 218 nautical miles.

Designed strictly for rapid, short-duration transit and interception, the vessel prioritizes weight saving and operational space over liveaboard amenities. The integrated fuel tank holds 238 liters of fuel, while both fresh water and waste water capacities are entirely absent, registering at 0 liters each. The onboard electrical grid provides a 230 VAC and 12 VDC power supply supported by a recommended 420 Ah house battery bank, though the boat features no generator or air conditioning systems.

The open console is outfitted with a streamlined navigation and communication suite tailored for high-speed situational awareness. The basic navigation pack is anchored by a 9-inch multi-function display (MFD) that integrates a VHF DSC radio, GPS, and depth/speed tracking instruments, with an AIS transceiver available as an optional upgrade. Standard compulsory gear and safety illumination include an all-round white light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signal device, a tactical VHF radio, and emergency flares.
