P750 | SNAPPER 18

The Snapper 18 Fishing Vessel by KND is a highly capable, commercial-grade angling and harvesting platform featuring a rugged steel displacement hull mated to a lightweight aluminium wheelhouse superstructure. Engineered for demanding coastal and offshore environments, this vessel measures 18.60 meters in length overall with a 5.52-meter beam and a 1.16-meter draft, allowing it to maintain exceptional stability under a maximum full-load displacement of 70.53 tons. Certified under the Grey Boat Code classification with Bureau Veritas and HPi CE proof validation, the craft is designed to be efficiently operated by a 6-passenger complement. Onboard living and operational sustainability during extended trips are supported by significant liquid capacities, including a 10,000-liter fuel tank, 2,250 liters of fresh water, and 630 liters of waste water storage.

For reliable and highly economical long-range maritime transits, the vessel’s propulsion system relies on a conventional shaft and propeller arrangement powered by heavy-duty marine engines from Volvo Penta, Baudouin, or MTU, generating a total of 500 bhp. This specialized displacement configuration provides a steady maximum speed of 10 knots and an optimal cruising speed of 9 knots. Leveraging its efficient hull dynamics and massive fuel reserves, the Snapper 18 achieves an outstanding continuous operational range of 1,401 nautical miles at its 9-knot cruising velocity. This long-range endurance makes the Explorer exceptionally well-suited for multi-day blue-water fishing expeditions where independent operation far from port is required.

The vessel’s integrated hardware, deck machinery, and domestic facilities run on a dual 230 VAC and 24 VDC electrical power network supported by an efficient 11 KVA generator set, which comfortably runs a full air conditioning system to maintain a strictly climate-controlled cabin environment. Advanced situational awareness and precise sub-surface tracking are managed from the bridge via a high-fidelity digital navigation pack featuring a 16-inch multi-function display (MFD). This advanced command suite incorporates a VHF DSC radio, AIS-B++ transponder, a 4 kW radar, an autopilot, a 1 kW sonar, and a unifying NMEA2000 backbone. True to KND’s flexible production standards, these preliminary technical parameters remain subject to change, with wheelhouse modifications available as optional extras to meet a client’s explicit operational profile.
