P746 | SHADOWHAWK 12

The Shadowhawk 12 Patrol & Intercept Vessel by KND is a high-speed, tactical naval platform constructed with an aluminium planing hull and a matching enclosed aluminium wheelhouse superstructure. Specifically engineered for rapid intervention, coastal border enforcement, and high-velocity pursuit, this monohull vessel measures 12.0 meters in length overall with a 3.1-meter beam and a 0.75-meter draft. Operating under Grey Boat Code classification guidelines with Bureau Veritas (BV) and HPi CE proof validation, the craft manages a maximum full-load displacement of 9.75 tons.

The internal layout features an armored command bridge and a lower troop compartment configured with a specialized arrangement of shock-mitigation suspension seats to safely transport a 12-person crew and troop complement on a 1-day operational endurance baseline. To support daily transit operations, the hull houses integrated liquid logistics, including 300 liters of fresh water and 84 liters of waste water storage. To establish tactical fire superiority, the deck layout and cutaway plans showcase an extensive weapons array, including a forward bow-deck machine gun mount, an elevated roof-mounted remote weapon station, twin aft-quarter gun positions, and side-mounted rocket pods.

To achieve exceptional, intercept-level tactical velocities, the platform offers two recommended high-performance powertrain and propulsion configurations drawing from a 1,843-liter integrated fuel capacity:

  • Option A (Outboard): This configuration utilizes a triple outboard motor arrangement delivering a combined 1,200 hp of recommended installed power. It propels the craft to a blistering maximum speed of 61.7 knots and a rapid cruising speed of 45.7 knots. At cruise velocity, it burns 198 liters of fuel per hour at an estimated light displacement of 6.87 tons.

  • Option B (Jet Drive): Recommended for heavy-weather agility and debris-clearing water conditions, this setup utilizes twin inboard waterjets delivering a combined 1,450 hp of recommended power. It achieves a maximum speed of 56.9 knots and a steady cruising speed of 45.9 knots. Running at its cruise setting, the jet system burns 207.4 liters per hour, delivering an active tactical range of 367 nautical miles at its full 9.75-ton displacement.

The vessel’s tactical electronics, weapon auxiliary systems, and climate controls run on a dual 230 VAC and 48 VDC power supply network. This electrical grid draws from a recommended 2,450 Ah house battery bank and a 7.6 kW / 9.5 KVA generator set (genset). The auxiliary generator supplies continuous power to a high-efficiency climate control network running an approximate 18,000 BTU/h air conditioning system to keep the crew and troop spaces completely temperature-regulated during high-stress deployments.

The helm console is equipped with an advanced basic navigation pack centered on a large 16-inch multi-function display (MFD). Completely tied together via a unifying NMEA2000 backbone, this bridge infrastructure integrates a VHF DSC radio, AIS-B transponder, a 4 kW radar system, an autopilot, and a 1 kW sonar. Standard legally mandated maritime safety and navigation gear completes the console build, including a masthead light, stern light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signaling device, a VHF radio, emergency flares, and navigation charts. KND offers advanced mission-specific modifications under its optional extras, including specialized ballistic protection and guided-rocket launchers. As is standard across this KND series, these preliminary parameters represent concept-level estimates that remain subject to final design development and detailed engineering modifications.
