Engineered with a stable displacement hull made from HDPE or aluminium and a robust aluminium wheelhouse, this vessel is built to SAMSA and ISO standards. Its design is characterized by a sleek, modern superstructure featuring floor-to-ceiling panoramic glass walls that turn the interior into a bright, inviting marketplace. With a shallow 0.50-meter draft and a 5.07-meter beam, it can easily navigate narrow or shallow waterways to reach remote populations that lack traditional road access.

The interior configuration is optimized for a retail environment, as seen in the specialized deck layout. The main cabin serves as a mobile grocer, featuring rows of high-capacity shelving units and display racks tailored for fresh market provisions. This “River Grocer” setup allows for an organized shopping experience, while the large glass panels ensure that the products are visible and the space feels open. To maintain the quality of fresh produce, the vessel is equipped with a dual 20,000 BTU air conditioning system that keeps the retail area at a consistent, cool temperature. Wide perimeter walkways and large sliding glass doors facilitate a smooth flow of foot traffic, making it easy for customers to board and browse.

Operational efficiency is driven by a commitment to renewable energy, with a vast array of solar panels covering the flat roof. This solar installation supports a 12V DC electrical system and a bank of four 200Ah batteries, providing the necessary power for lighting and retail systems with minimal environmental impact. Propulsion is provided by a 230 bhp Mercury four-stroke outboard engine, allowing the supermarket to travel at a maximum speed of 10 knots and a cruising speed of 8 knots. The vessel is designed for self-sufficiency during multi-stop journeys, featuring a 500-liter fresh water tank and a 1,000-liter waste water system.

Equipped with a professional navigation suite—including Garmin GPS, VHF radio, and an EPIRB—the Supermarket 15 ensures safe transit through diverse aquatic environments.
