P726 | WORKSTAR 770
The Workstar 14 LH Line Handler by KND is a robust, heavy-duty utility vessel constructed with an aluminium displacement hull and a matching enclosed aluminium wheelhouse superstructure. Engineered specifically for mooring operations, line handling, and harbor support tasks under demanding marine conditions, this steady monohull measures 14.33 meters in length overall with a wide 4.14-meter beam and an exceptionally shallow 0.31-meter draft. Certified under Grey Boat Code and Bureau Veritas (BV) classification standards with HPi CE proof validation, the platform is built around a heavy-duty displacement framework designed to handle a maximum full-load displacement of 10.42 tons. Operating with a standard 4-person complement on a 1-day endurance baseline, the vessel supports localized harbor and coastal operations with an integrated liquid capacity arrangement featuring 100 liters of fresh water and 28 liters of waste water storage.
Optimized for high-torque pulling power and high-load towing reliability rather than high velocity, the platform relies on a traditional shaft and propeller propulsion arrangement drawing from a 1,500-liter total fuel capacity. Powered by dual inboard engines delivering a combined 600 hp of recommended installed power ($2 \times 300\text{ hp}$), the vessel achieves a maximum speed of 9.1 knots and a steady, efficient cruising speed of 5.1 knots. Running at its designated cruise velocity, the system maintains a fuel burn rate of 7.2 liters per hour, yielding an active operational towing and transit range of 171 nautical miles at its full 10.42-ton displacement baseline.
The vessel’s heavy-duty electrical infrastructure and auxiliary systems run on a dual 230 VAC and 24 VDC power supply network. This grid is heavily backed by a massive recommended 6,850 Ah house battery bank and a powerful 10.7 kW / 13.4 KVA generator set (genset) that ensures continuous operational uptime for onboard machinery and climate control networks. The auxiliary generator supplies power to an approximate 26,000 BTU/h air conditioning system to keep the enclosed command bridge completely temperature-regulated during long harbor shifts. The helm console features a basic navigation pack centered on a 12-inch multi-function display (MFD) integrated with a VHF DSC radio, AIS-B transponder, an autopilot, a 600 W sonar, and a radar system fitted with an 18- or 24-inch dome dome, rounded out by standard compulsory safety lights, emergency flares, and navigation charts.
