P701 | NERO 950 GLADIATOR 1
The NERO 950 GLADIATOR 1 is a collaborative patrol and intercept platform developed by Nautech Fabrications Services and KND. Standing out from traditional alloy builds, it features an incredibly durable High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) planing hull paired with an open console layout measuring 9.50 meters in length, 2.49 meters in beam, and 0.50 meters in draft. Operating under Grey Boat Code classification with a maximum full-load displacement of 4,400 kg, this heavy-duty platform is engineered to transport a 12-person tactical complement, supported by a 300-liter fuel capacity while carrying zero liters of fresh or waste water to preserve its lightweight, high-buoyancy profile.
Tactical propulsion is driven by twin Mercury four-stroke outboard engines delivering a combined 500 bhp, which propels the craft to a maximum speed of 35 knots and a sustained cruising speed of 28 knots. When maintaining this cruising pace, the vessel delivers a focused operational range of 127 nautical miles. To maximize deck workspace and eliminate unnecessary complexity, the open configuration relies on a simplified 12V DC electrical system running on two 100Ah batteries, entirely omitting an onboard generator or air conditioning network.
For situational awareness and mission management, the helm is equipped with a standard navigation package consisting of a Garmin GPS, a VHF radio, a magnetic compass, and mandatory navigation lights. True to its combat and law enforcement pedigree, the deck design incorporates built-in weapon mounts at the bow and stern sections. For higher-intensity operations, the platform can be further specialized through optional upgrades such as ballistic protection, crew-saving suspension seats, and additional hardpoint mounts, though these preliminary concept specifications remain subject to change pending final engineering development.
