P680 WASTE WARRIOR 14
The Waste Warrior 14 Pollution Control Vessel by KND is a highly specialized, specialized environmental workboat purpose-built for the mechanical harvesting of invasive water hyacinths and dense aquatic vegetation. Constructed from marine-grade alloy with an aluminium displacement hull and a matching aluminium superstructure, the platform measures 14.0 meters in length overall with a 3.0-meter beam and an ultra-shallow 0.2-meter draft that prevents entanglement in thick weed beds. Operating under the Grey Boat Code classification framework with Bureau Veritas and HPi CE proof validation, the 3.18-ton craft features an adjustable forward collecting ramp assembly and an integrated Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) to feed harvested plant matter directly into a central storage area via prominent mechanical propeller-style wheel components.
To maintain precision maneuverability and continuous clearing power through choked waterways, the vessel utilizes an IPS Drive arrangement driven by twin 100 hp engines to deliver a combined 200 hp of recommended installed power. This specialized powertrain drives the craft to a steady working and transit speed of 7.2 knots, operating at a fuel burn rate of 24 liters per hour to secure an operational range of 43 nautical miles from its 160-liter integrated fuel tank. Engineered for a 2-person crew on a single-day endurance baseline, the vessel’s electrical systems run on a dual 230 VAC and 12 VDC network supported by a massive recommended 7,750 Ah house battery bank and a 6 kW / 7.6 KVA generator set that runs an approximate 14,500 BTU/h air conditioning unit for the raised helm station.
The open-bridge control station is equipped with a basic navigation pack centered on a 12-inch multi-function display (MFD) that integrates a VHF DSC radio, AIS-B transponder, a radar system with an 18- or 24-inch dome, an autopilot, and a 600 W sonar for sub-surface monitoring. Compulsory safety gear completes the nautical array, including an all-round white light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signaling device, and emergency flares. As with all conceptual platforms in the KND environmental utility lineup, these preliminary technical parameters represent concept-level estimates that remain subject to final design development and detailed engineering modifications.
