P660 | SHADOWHAWK 14C
The Shadowhawk 14 Patrol & Intercept Vessel by KND is a high-speed, tactical maritime security platform engineered with an aluminium planing hull and a matching enclosed aluminium wheelhouse superstructure. Designed for rapid interception, coastal patrolling, and border enforcement, this monohull measures 13.93 meters in length overall with a 3.32-meter beam and a shallow 0.43-meter draft. Operating under Grey Boat Code and Bureau Veritas (BV) classification frameworks with HPi CE proof validation, the platform handles a maximum full-load displacement of 7.05 tons.
The vessel’s internal layout features an enclosed helm cabin and a semi-open cockpit deck configured with an arrangement of dedicated shock-mitigation suspension seats to safely accommodate a 6-person crew complement on a 1-day operational endurance baseline. To support daily transit operations, the hull houses integrated liquid logistics including 150 liters of fresh water and 42 liters of waste water storage.
To achieve high-velocity pursuit capabilities and exceptional tactical agility, the platform relies exclusively on an outboard engine propulsion arrangement featuring a triple-motor configuration drawing from a 1,760-liter total fuel capacity. The technical specifications outline two recommended high-performance powertrain options:
Option A (Triple 300 hp): Utilizing three outboard motors to deliver a combined 900 hp of installed power, this configuration drives the craft to a blistering maximum speed of 53.8 knots and a rapid cruising speed of 39.9 knots. At this cruise velocity, it maintains a fuel burn rate of 148.5 liters per hour, yielding an active tactical range of 426 nautical miles at an estimated light displacement of 6.76 tons.
Option B (Triple 400 hp): Scaling up to a high-output variant delivering a combined 1,200 hp of installed power, this layout pushes the vessel to a maximum speed of 60.9 knots and an intense cruising speed of 45.1 knots. Running at its designated cruise setting, the fuel consumption increases to 198 liters per hour, yielding an operational range of 361 nautical miles at a full 7.05-ton displacement.
The ship’s extensive electronic networks, climate controls, and service grids run on a dual 230 VAC and 48 VDC electrical power supply. This electrical infrastructure is heavily backed by a recommended 2,640 Ah house battery bank and an efficient 8.2 kW / 10.3 KVA generator set (genset). The auxiliary generator supplies continuous power to a high-efficiency climate control network running an approximate 19,600 BTU/h air conditioning system to keep the crew spaces completely temperature-regulated during high-stress missions.
The helm console is equipped with an advanced basic navigation pack centered on a large 16-inch multi-function display (MFD). Completely tied together via a unifying NMEA2000 backbone, this bridge infrastructure integrates a VHF DSC radio, AIS-B++ transponder, a 4 kW radar system, an autopilot, and a 1 kW sonar. Standard legally mandated maritime safety and navigation gear completes the helm build, including a masthead light, stern light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signaling device, a VHF radio, emergency flares, and navigation charts. For high-threat environments, KND offers advanced defensive modifications under its optional extras, including specialized ballistic protection and dedicated weapon mounts. As is standard across this KND series, these preliminary parameters represent concept-level estimates that remain subject to final design development and detailed engineering modifications.
