P649 | SEAVIPER 17
The SeaViper 17 Patrol & Intercept Vessel by KND is a versatile, high-speed tactical maritime platform built with an aluminium planing hull and a matching aluminium wheelhouse that can be outfitted with optional ballistic protection. Engineered for law enforcement, coastal protection, and defense operations, this monohull craft measures 17.00 meters in length with a 4.71-meter beam and a shallow 0.70-meter draft. Certified under Bureau Veritas classification standards, the platform manages a maximum full-load displacement of 25 tons.
The vessel’s main deck plan features an enclosed cabin configured with a central state room layout optimized to carry a total complement of 12 personnel (crew and passengers). The lower hull architecture is divided systematically via a detailed hold plan into a forward anchor locker/peak, crew quarters with bunks, a central utility/domestic space with a galley area and head, a dedicated fuel compartment, and an aft engine room. Onboard liquid storage supporting these operations includes a 2,000-liter fuel capacity, 100 liters of fresh water, and 100 liters of waste water storage.
To accommodate diverse client operational needs, the platform is engineered with a flexible, high-output propulsion system delivering 1,800 bhp of installed power. Builders can choose from premium Volvo Penta, Baudouin, or Scania engines paired with either MJP or Alamarin waterjets, or an IPS drive system. This high-performance configuration drives the craft to a maximum speed of 40 knots and maintains a steady cruising speed of 30 knots. Operating at its designated cruise velocity, the vessel delivers a tactical operational range of 357 nautical miles.
The ship’s extensive electronic networks, domestic layout, and tactical gear run on a dual 230 VAC and 24 VDC electrical power supply supported by a robust 10 KVA generator set (genset). This system provides continuous electricity to a high-efficiency, full cabin air conditioning system to optimize crew stamina during intense missions. The raised bridge is anchored by a high-reliability electronics suite featuring a integrated Furuno navigation package (utilizing NavNet and a DRS4DL radar infrastructure), full AIS transponders, and dedicated VHF/HF radio communications. KND offers several mission-specific modifications under its optional extras, including specialized ballistic armoring, Remote Weapon Station machine guns (RWS MG), ICAF anti-fouling hull treatments, extended tactical communications, and auxiliary weapons packages. As is standard for this KND series, these preliminary specifications remain subject to final design development and engineering changes.
