P602 | SEASAVER 12.5
The KND Seasaver 12.5 Ambulance Vessel is a specialized medical rapid-response and transport craft constructed with a rugged marine-grade aluminium planing hull and a matching aluminium superstructure. Purpose-built to execute critical patient transfers and emergency rescue operations under Grey Boat Code and Bureau Veritas classification standards, this agile vessel measures 12.5 meters in length overall, features a 3.5-meter beam overall, and maintains a shallow 0.49-meter draft. Optimized for single-day endurance missions with a maximum full-load displacement of 7.48 tons, the craft is engineered to safely accommodate a 12-person complement. A standout feature of its tactical layout is the integrated bow-loading ramp, which allows paramedics to seamlessly transition stretchers directly between the climate-controlled cabin and a beach or low-profile shoreline. Onboard fluid capacities support these life-saving duties with a 1,200-liter fuel capacity, 300 liters of fresh water, and an 84-liter waste water tank.
High-speed emergency transit is delivered through a twin outboard engine propulsion setup, which is available in two recommended, high-output configurations. The standard propulsion package consists of twin 300 hp outboards supplying 600 hp total, driving the vessel to a maximum speed of 42 knots and a cruise speed of 31.2 knots. When operating at this cruising pace, the system maintains a fuel burn rate of 99 liters per hour to achieve a 340-nautical-mile operational range. For scenarios demanding maximum intercept velocity, an upgraded engine package utilizes twin 350 hp outboards to deliver 700 hp total, pushing the craft to a top speed of 45.1 knots and a rapid cruising speed of 33.5 knots, which shifts the cruise fuel consumption to 115.5 liters per hour and provides a 313-nautical-mile mission range.
To support advanced medical instrumentation and ensure crew and patient comfort, the vessel features a robust dual 230 VAC and 24 VDC power supply grid. This electrical network is heavily backed by a recommended 11,370 Ah house battery bank and a high-capacity 17.7 kW / 22.2 kVA generator set that effortlessly runs a powerful 44,500 BTU/h air conditioning system. All-weather mission management is directed from the helm via a comprehensive basic navigation pack centered on a 16-inch multi-function display that integrates VHF DSC, an AIS-B++ transponder, a 4 kW radar, an autopilot, a 1 kW sonar, and a unifying NMEA2000 backbone. Compulsory safety equipment includes a magnetic compass, sound signals, emergency flares, and navigation charts, while the vessel can be further specialized through optional containerized and specialized medical equipment packages.
