P450 | NAVIGATOR 12 STEP

The Navigator 12 Step Patrol & Intercept Vessel by KND is an ultra-high-speed tactical monohull engineered with a Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) planing hull and a streamlined open console superstructure configuration. Specifically optimized for high-intensity littoral patrol, rapid interception, and maritime border enforcement, this advanced vessel features an engineered stepped hull form built around a precise 1000mm structural frame spacing layout to reduce hydrodynamic drag and enhance high-speed tracking. Certified under CE and Bureau Veritas (BV) classification standards, the craft features a commanding physical profile measuring 12.13 meters in length overall (LOA) with a 3.41-meter beam overall (BOA) and a shallow, highly maneuverable 0.42-meter draft. The open deck architecture is purposefully optimized for tactical movement, equipment storage, and rapid personnel deployment, allowing it to transport a standard operational complement of 12 persons on a 1-day sea endurance baseline.

To generate the extreme sprint velocities and rapid throttle response required for modern maritime interception, the platform relies on a heavy-duty triple outboard engine propulsion arrangement drawing from a substantial 1,540-liter integrated fuel capacity. The vessel can be configured with two primary high-output powertrain options to meet varying operational demands. The baseline triple-motor configuration delivers a combined 900 hp of recommended installed power ($3 \times 300\text{ hp}$), pushing the craft to a maximum speed of 58.8 knots and a swift cruising speed of 43.6 knots, which yields an active cruising range of 402 nautical miles at an estimated 5.67-ton displacement. For operations requiring maximum intercept capabilities, the powertrain can be upgraded to deliver a combined 1,200 hp of installed power ($3 \times 400\text{ hp}$), which increases the maximum speed to a blistering 66.2 knots, maintains a steady cruising speed of 49.1 knots, and yields a rapid operational range of 344 nautical miles at a maximum full-load displacement of 5.96 tons. To maximize its power-to-weight ratio and top-end agility, the hull completely omits fresh water and waste water holding tanks (0 L).

The vessel’s onboard tactical systems, advanced communications, and secondary services run on a dual 230 VAC and 48 VDC electrical power supply network. True to its high-speed mission profile and open console architecture, the platform completely omits an auxiliary generator set (genset) or specialized air conditioning systems to minimize dead weight and eliminate mechanical complexity. The helm station is outfitted with a sophisticated electronics suite centered on a 16-inch multi-function display (MFD) that integrates a VHF DSC radio, an AIS-B transponder, an autopilot, a 1 kW sonar, and a powerful 4 kW radar system, all connected across a centralized NMEA2000 communication backbone. A comprehensive legally mandated safety and navigation pack completes the build, featuring a masthead light, stern light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signaling device, navigation charts, a GPS/chartplotter, a depth sounder, a VHF radio, emergency flares, and a global maritime distress and safety system (GMDSS).
