P441 | SHADOWHAWK 12 RPB

The Shadowhawk 12 RPB Riverine Patrol Boat by KND is a high-speed tactical platform featuring an aluminium planing hull and a matching aluminium wheelhouse/superstructure. Engineered specifically for brown-water operations, riverine interdiction, and troop transport, this shallow-draft monohull measures 12.85 meters in length overall with a 2.63-meter beam and a 0.62-meter draft. Certified under the Grey Boat Code classification standards with Bureau Veritas (BV) and HPi CE proof validation, the platform operates at a maximum full-load displacement of 7.33 tons.

The vessel’s architecture is divided internally by watertight bulkheads into distinct structural sections, including a 2,420 mm rudder/propulsion compartment, a 2,700 mm main deck and fuel compartment, a 3,150 mm forward troop compartment, and a 2,115 mm crash bow. Designed to maximize troop carrying capacity, the open deck layout features a protective overhead canopy awning and specialized seating arrays configured to transport a substantial 17-person complement on a 1-day operational endurance baseline. To shed dead weight and focus on high-density tactical transits, the boat completely omits fresh water and waste water holding tanks.
For rapid acceleration and superior maneuverability in restricted, weed-choked, or shallow riverine environments, the craft relies on a Jet Drive propulsion arrangement drawing from a 1,344-liter fuel capacity. Powered by twin engines delivering a combined 900 hp of recommended installed power (), this setup drives the patrol boat to a maximum speed of 38.8 knots and sustains a swift cruising speed of 31.2 knots. At this designated cruise velocity, the system operates at a fuel burn rate of 128.7 liters per hour, securing a tactical operational range of 250 nautical miles at a full displacement of 7.33 tons.

The ship’s extensive electronic networks, weapon auxiliary systems, and climate controls run on a dual 230 VAC and 24 VDC electrical power supply network. This grid is heavily backed by a recommended 2,920 Ah house battery bank. It also integrates an approximate 9,920 BTU/h air conditioning system to manage temperatures within the enclosed forward console/wheelhouse spaces. Heavily armed for tactical engagement, the general profile and top plans showcase multiple defensive weapon positions, including twin aft-deck machine gun mounts and a forward bow-deck centerline machine gun station.

The command helm is equipped with a basic navigation pack centered on a 9-inch multi-function display (MFD). This electronics suite is completely integrated via an NMEA2000 backbone with a VHF DSC radio, AIS-B++, a 4 kW radar system, an autopilot, and a 1 kW sonar. Legally mandated safety and navigation gear completes the console build, including a masthead light, stern light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signaling device, a VHF radio, emergency flares, and navigation charts. KND offers advanced ballistic protection under its optional extras to protect the crew and troops in high-threat environments. Consistent with the rest of this engineering line, these preliminary parameters represent concept-level estimates that remain subject to final design development and detailed engineering modifications.
