P405 | WASTE WARRIOR 6
The Wastewarrior 6 Pollution Control Vessel by KND is a highly specialized environmental utility craft designed for surface debris clearance, oil spill response, and localized harbor cleaning. Constructed with a marine-grade aluminium semi-displacement hull and an integrated aluminium open-wheelhouse layout, this compact workboat measures 6.0 meters in length overall with a 2.5-meter beam and an exceptionally shallow draft of just 0.15 meters. Operating under the Grey Boat Code and Bureau Veritas classification frameworks with HPi CE proof validation, the platform handles a maximum full-load displacement of 1.4 tons. The open flat-deck configuration is engineered for a 2-person complement and features a forward cargo locker, safety lifebuoy ring, on-deck storage bins for collected pollution, and a rear transom platform.
To maintain flexible propulsion across varying utility demands, there is a choice between two high-efficiency mechanical layouts that both deliver a top and cruising speed of 10.9 knots from an integrated 160-liter fuel tank. The standard recommended layout utilizes a single 60 hp outboard motor configuration that burns 9.9 liters of fuel per hour, providing a continuous single-day cruising range of 158 nautical miles. For operations requiring greater torque, a secondary recommended shaft and propeller arrangement pairs with a 150 hp inboard engine and a stern-drive unit, which operates at an increased fuel burn rate of 18 liters per hour.
Operational hardware and crew facilities are sustained by a dual 230 VAC and 12 VDC electrical power supply system supported by a recommended 4,320 Ah house battery bank and an integrated 3.4 kW / 4.2 KVA generator set. This network provides power to run an approximate 8,000 BTU/h air conditioning unit to cool the primary helm console, which sits sheltered beneath a rigid T-top canopy with blue bench seating. Tactical navigation and communication are managed via a basic electronics pack that includes a 9-inch multi-function display (MFD), VHF DSC radio, GPS, and a depth/speed log, with an option to add an AIS system. Onboard safety is rounded out by an accessible fire extinguisher alongside compulsory maritime gear, including an all-round white light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signal device, and emergency flares.
