The Navigator 8 Patrol & Leisure is a high-speed, versatile rigid inflatable boat designed by KND for tactical, commercial, or high-performance recreational operations. Constructed with a robust aluminium planing hull and an open console superstructure, this durable craft features a length of 9.26 meters, a beam of 2.68 meters, and a draft of 0.58 meters. It operates with a maximum full-load displacement of 5.01 tons and is certified under Bureau Veritas (BV) classification standards with HPi CE proof. Built for rapid single-day deployments, the vessel safely accommodates a complement of up to 6 passengers utilizing secure, shock-absorbing jockey seating.
The vessel’s performance is driven by a powerful outboard propulsion configuration delivering 500 bhp. This dual-engine setup allows the boat to reach a blistering maximum speed of 50 knots and maintain a high-velocity cruising speed of 40 knots. Supported by an integrated 650-liter fuel tank, the craft provides an operational range of 283 nautical miles at cruise. To maximize weight efficiency and functional deck space during high-speed transits, the vessel carries 0 liters of fresh water and entirely foregoes an onboard genset or air conditioning system.
The onboard electrical network runs on a 230 VAC and 48 VDC power supply to support its specialized electronics. Mission operations and situational awareness are anchored by a comprehensive basic navigation pack that includes a 12-inch multi-function display (MFD), VHF DSC, an AIS-B transponder, a radar unit with an 18/24-inch dome, an autopilot, and a 600 W sonar. For specialized military or law enforcement applications, operators can also specify ballistic protection as an optional extra.
