The Shadowhawk 10 Patrol & Intercept Vessel by KND is an ultra-high-speed, tactical intercept platform constructed with an aluminium planing hull and a streamlined open console superstructure. Specifically engineered for rapid insertion, pursuit, and coastal border enforcement, this highly maneuverable craft measures 10.4 meters in length overall with a slim 2.56-meter beam and a 0.71-meter draft. Certified under CE and Grey Boat Code classification standards with Bureau Veritas (BV) and HPi CE proof validation, the platform handles a maximum full-load displacement of 6.46 tons.

The open deck layout is explicitly designed to maximize troop capacity and crew security. The deck architecture features a centralized command console flanked by a specialized dual-row configuration of shock-mitigation seating to transport a 10-person complement. Engineered to maintain operational capability during extended multi-day deployments, the platform supports a 3-day operational endurance baseline. This long-endurance window is backed by substantial onboard fluid logistics, including a massive 3,465-liter integrated fuel capacity, 600 liters of fresh water, and 168 liters of waste water storage.

To deliver intercept-level tactical speeds and immediate responsiveness, the vessel is engineered exclusively around an outboard engine propulsion arrangement featuring a triple-motor configuration. The platform offers two high-performance powertrain options depending on mission profiles:

• Option A (Triple 350 hp): Utilizing three Mercury outboard motors to deliver a combined 1,050 hp of recommended installed power, this configuration propels the craft to a blistering maximum speed of 59.5 knots and a rapid cruising speed of 44.1 knots. Running at its designated cruise velocity, it operates at a fuel burn rate of 173.3 liters per hour, yielding an exceptional operational range of 794 nautical miles at a 6.46-ton full-load displacement.

• Option B (Triple 300 hp): Serving as an alternative recommended setup delivering a combined 900 hp of installed power, this layout achieves a maximum speed of 55.7 knots and a steady cruising speed of 41.3 knots. At cruise velocity, the fuel burn rate drops to 148.5 liters per hour, extending the vessel’s cruising range to 807 nautical miles at an estimated displacement of 6.31 tons.

The vessel’s tactical electronics and service networks run on a dual 230 VAC and 48 VDC power supply system. Tailored for lean, high-speed interception windows, the electrical system draws from a compact recommended 170 Ah house battery bank and omits an onboard generator set (genset) and air conditioning system.

The open helm console is anchored by a high-reliability basic navigation pack centered on a 12-inch multi-function display (MFD). This bridge network integrates a VHF DSC radio, AIS-B transponder, an autopilot system, a 600 W sonar, and a radar system fitted with an 18- or 24-inch dome. Standard compulsory maritime safety and navigation equipment completes the build, including an all-round white light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signaling device, a VHF radio, and emergency flares. KND offers advanced mission-specific enhancements under its optional extras, including a ballistic pop-up shield and specialized suspension seats.
