The Hurricane 24 is a 24-meter patrol and intercept vessel designed with an aluminium planing hull and superstructure. This vessel features a beam of 6.3 meters and a draft of 0.9 meters, with a maximum full load displacement of 47.5 tons. It is classified by Bureau Veritas.
The vessel offers two main propulsion arrangements: a jet drive system and a shaft and propeller system. The jet drive configuration, powered by 2,600 hp, achieves a maximum speed of 27.5 knots and a cruising speed of 22.2 knots, with a fuel burn rate of 371.8 liters per hour and a range of 489 nautical miles. The shaft and propeller version, powered by 2,000 hp, reaches a maximum speed of 24.7 knots and a cruising speed of 19.1 knots, with a fuel burn rate of 240 liters per hour and a range of 667 nautical miles.
Designed to accommodate a complement of 24 people, the Hurricane 24 supports an endurance basis of 15 days at sea. Its internal capacities include 9,300 liters of fuel, 7,800 liters of fresh water, and 2,520 liters of waste water. Onboard systems are supported by a 27.5 kW/34.5 kVA genset and an 8,940 Ah house battery bank, and the vessel is equipped with full air conditioning.
