P242 SEAVIPER 12
The SeaViper 12 Patrol & Security Vessel by KND is a compact, high-speed tactical security craft engineered with an aluminium hull and a matching aluminium wheelhouse. Built for rapid-response coastal patrolling, border security, and law enforcement duties, this highly agile vessel measures 11.8 meters in length with a 4.30-meter beam and a 0.80-meter draft. Operating under Special Craft Rules and ISO standard classifications, the platform handles a maximum full-load displacement of 10,618 kg. Its practical deck arrangement features an enclosed main cabin designed to safely accommodate a 8-person complement. To support these personnel during standard deployments, the hull carries essential liquid capacities consisting of a 1,500-liter fuel tank and 100 liters of fresh water storage, while omitting a dedicated wastewater tank.
For high-velocity operations and excellent shallow-water maneuverability, the craft is outfitted with an advanced waterjet propulsion system. Power is supplied by premium Volvo Penta & Baudouin engines paired with MJP & Ultra Jet waterjets, delivering a combined output of 2×510 bhp. This recommended powertrain drives the patrol vessel to a blistering maximum speed of 38 knots and a steady cruising speed of 27 knots. Operating at its designated cruise velocity, the propulsion configuration yields a substantial tactical range of 440 nautical miles.
The vessel’s onboard electrical infrastructure relies on a standard 12V DC power supply, which is fed by a dedicated battery bank consisting of two 100 Ah batteries. Given its specialized, mission-oriented focus, integrating a generator set and an air conditioning system remains entirely optional based on regional deployment requirements. The bridge is equipped with a fundamental, high-reliability navigation pack that includes a Garmin GPS, a VHF radio, an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB), a marine compass, and standard navigation lights. For tailored mission requirements, KND offers optional extras such as an outboard engine propulsion version and alternative interior seating configurations. As is standard for these data cards, specifications remain subject to change during final engineering development.
