P235 | SHUTTLE 15
The Shuttle 15 Transporter by KND is a high-capacity logistics and passenger transport vessel engineered with an aluminium semi-displacement hull and a matching aluminium wheelhouse/superstructure. Designed as a robust, stable platform for inland waterways, harbor transits, and coastal transport, this wide-beamed vessel measures 12.3 meters in length overall with an expansive 4.39-meter beam and a very shallow 0.47-meter draft. Certified under CE and Bureau Veritas (BV) classification standards with HPi CE proof validation, the transporter handles a maximum full-load displacement of 11.73 tons.
Optimized for high-volume utility, the open deck plan features an extensive protective overhead canopy awning and columns of passenger bench seating engineered to carry an impressive 54-person complement on a 1-day endurance baseline. To comfortably support this dense passenger capacity during transit, the hull layout includes exceptionally large domestic fluid capacities, housing 1,350 liters of fresh water alongside 378 liters of waste water storage.
To deliver reliable, fuel-efficient transit performance, the platform utilizes an outboard engine propulsion arrangement drawing from a 587-liter integrated fuel capacity. The technical specifications offer two recommended twin-motor Yamaha configurations depending on the required speed profile:
Option A (Twin 100 hp): Utilizing dual outboard motors to deliver a combined 200 hp of recommended power. This layout moves the vessel at a maximum speed of 14.5 knots and a steady cruising speed of 11.5 knots. At cruise velocity, it operates at a highly economical fuel burn rate of 33 liters per hour, yielding an operational range of 185 nautical miles at an estimated displacement of 11.54 tons.
Option B (Twin 200 hp): Scaling up to a higher-output arrangement delivering a combined 400 hp of installed power. This configuration increases the maximum speed to 15.3 knots and sustains an efficient cruising speed of 15.0 knots. At this cruising pace, fuel burn rises to 66 liters per hour, providing an active transit range of 120 nautical miles at its full 11.73-ton displacement.
The vessel’s extensive onboard electronics, domestic services, and climate control systems run on a dual 230 VAC and 24 VDC electrical power supply network. This grid is heavily backed by a recommended 2,940 Ah house battery bank and a compact 4.6 kW / 5.7 KVA generator set (genset). The auxiliary power framework supplies a localized climate control system delivering an approximate 10,000 BTU/h air conditioning system to keep designated spaces temperature-regulated.
The helm station is outfitted with a comprehensive navigation pack centered on a 12-inch multi-function display (MFD). This bridge core integrates a VHF DSC radio, AIS-B transponder, an autopilot, a 600 W sonar, and a radar system fitted with an 18- or 24-inch dome. Standard legally mandated safety and navigation gear completes the console build, including a masthead light, stern light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signaling device, a VHF radio, emergency flares, and navigation charts. Depending on commercial deployment requirements, KND offers the platform in two alternative layout configurations under its optional extras: a dedicated ferry version or an open cargo version. In accordance with KND’s standard engineering protocols, these preliminary parameters represent concept-level estimates that remain subject to final design development and detailed engineering modifications.
