The Shuttle 30 Transporter by KND is a heavy-duty, commercial-grade floating vehicle ferry and passenger transport platform engineered with a rugged steel displacement hull and an aluminium wheelhouse superstructure. Built for dependable operation in demanding coastal, riverine, or icy environments, this substantial vessel measures 29.8 meters in length overall with a wide 10.8-meter beam and a shallow 0.75-meter draft. Certified under the Grey Boat Code and Bureau Veritas (BV) classification standards with HPi CE proof validation, the craft manages a maximum full-load displacement of 143.47 tons. Its large open deck layout is structurally optimized to simultaneously transport multiple commercial vehicles—such as large semi-trucks, passenger buses, and cars—while providing a separate raised deck area dedicated to a massive 100-passenger complement.

For reliable blue-water transits and heavy-load hauling, the vessel’s propulsion system relies on a traditional shaft and propeller arrangement driven by twin 500 hp engines to deliver a combined 1,000 hp of installed power. This recommended powertrain configuration drives the transporter to a maximum and cruising speed of 13.1 knots. Running at cruising velocity, the system maintains a fuel burn rate of 120 liters per hour, which yields an operational range of 657 nautical miles from its integrated 6,667-liter fuel tank. Supporting a 5-day operational endurance baseline, the hull accommodates extensive supplementary liquid logistics, including 12,500 liters of fresh water and 3,500 liters of waste water storage.

The vessel’s extensive onboard electrical network operates on a dual 230 VAC and 24 VDC power supply, heavily backed by a recommended 55,770 Ah house battery bank and a large 87 kW / 108.8 KVA generator set. This heavy-duty power grid supplies electricity to a massive 226,307 BTU/h air conditioning system to ensure a completely climate-controlled cabin environment for passengers and crew. The raised bridge is equipped with an advanced navigation pack centered on a 16-inch multi-function display (MFD) fully integrated via an NMEA 2000 backbone with a VHF DSC radio, AIS-B, a 4 kW radar, an autopilot, and a 1 kW sonar. Safety and tactical navigation are rounded out by compulsory maritime gear, including a masthead light, stern light, sidelights, a magnetic compass, a sound signaling device, emergency flares, navigation charts, a GPS chartplotter, and a depth sounder.
