P619 | SHUTTLE 23
The Shuttle 23 Transporter by KND is a high-density commercial transport vessel engineered with an aluminium displacement hull and a fully integrated aluminium wheelhouse/superstructure. Certified under CE and Bureau Veritas (BV) classification standards, this sturdy logistics platform features a physical layout built around a precise 1000mm structural frame spacing layout to optimize structural load distribution. The ship features a substantial architectural profile measuring 23.45 meters in length overall (LOA) with a wide, stable 5.70-meter beam overall (BOA) and an ultra-shallow 0.50-meter draft. Purpose-built for efficient riverine transits, harbor taxi services, and coastal commuting, the main deck configuration safely accommodates an impressive standard passenger complement of 91 persons over a 1-day sea endurance baseline.
To ensure steady, reliable transit performance and high-torque efficiency across heavily populated waterways, the platform utilizes a conventional shaft and propeller propulsion arrangement drawing from an integrated 640-liter fuel capacity. KND supports two primary powertrain configurations tailored to balance speed and maximum operational economy. The lower-output configuration utilizes a dual-engine arrangement delivering a combined 300 hp of recommended installed power ($2 \times 150\text{ hp}$), sustaining a uniform maximum and cruising speed of 11.6 knots. Running at this baseline, the vessel consumes 36 liters of fuel per hour, which yields an active cruising range of 186 nautical miles. Alternatively, operators can configure the ship with a more powerful twin-engine setup delivering a combined 600 hp of recommended power ($2 \times 300\text{ hp}$). While this higher-output setup maintains the same hydrodynamically governed 11.6-knot speed threshold, it increases the fuel burn rate to 72 liters per hour, which adjusts the vessel’s cruising range to 93 nautical miles at a maximum full-load displacement of 39.69 tons.
The vessel’s comprehensive commercial electronics, multi-row interior lighting, and core utility grids are powered by a dual 230 VAC and 24 VDC electrical power supply system. To effectively manage the environmental demands of heavy passenger payloads during daily operations, the ship incorporates extensive logistical holding networks, including an expansive 2,275-liter fresh water storage capacity and a dedicated 637-liter waste water tank. True to its streamlined regional commuter role, an auxiliary generator set (genset) and localized air conditioning systems are completely omitted from the standard specification sheet to maximize passenger cabin area and simplify routine mechanical maintenance. The helm station console features a modern navigation package centered on an expansive 12-inch multi-function display (MFD) that integrates a VHF DSC radio, an AIS-B transponder, an autopilot, a 600 W sonar, and a radar system fitted with an 18- or 24-inch dome, complemented by standard legally mandated safety lights and sound signaling devices.
