P233 | HURRICANE 21 SAR

The HURRICANE 21 is a high-performance patrol and search and rescue (SAR) vessel designed by KND for maximum durability and efficiency in challenging maritime environments. Built with a rugged aluminium planing hull and wheelhouse, the craft measures 21.3 meters in length with a 4.62-meter beam and a 0.68-meter draft, maintaining a maximum full-load displacement of 23.55 tons under Bureau Veritas classification. Propulsion is provided by twin inboard engines totaling 2,000 hp, with two available arrangements. The jet drive configuration allows for a maximum speed of 43 knots and an operational range of 624 nm at a 34.7-knot cruise, while the shaft and propeller setup reaches a top speed of 34.9 knots with a 579 nm range at a 27-knot cruise.

The vessel is designed to accommodate a 12-person complement for up to three days at sea, supported by a 5,720 L fuel capacity, 900 L of fresh water, and 252 L of waste water storage. Crew comfort is prioritized with full air conditioning (approx. 28,800 BTU/h) and a robust electrical system featuring an 11.8 kW genset and a 3,770 Ah house battery. Its professional navigation suite is centered around a 16-inch multi-function display and includes VHF DSC, AIS-B++, a 4 kW radar, and an autopilot. To further enhance its capabilities for critical rescue missions, the Hurricane 21 can be equipped with an optional self-righting system.
